Last December I took a class on wire-wrapping. I began wrapping stones, I had, into pendants. While I liked the idea of wrapping the stone instead of drilling a hole, I soon discovered that I wanted to cover the stone as little as possible, because my stones were so beautiful in themselves.

Wrapping the pendants, reminded me of a time 40 years ago, when I used wire to string together beads. I did it before, I could do it again! By wrapping the beads this way, I was able to create a lighter, more delicate chain, than I could stringing the beads. This lead to the creation of 3 NECKLACES, that I now have FOR SALE.

In the last few years, I have been creating suncatchers made from antique prisms, as well as new crystal prisms, of various shapes and sizes. Many of these I have given as gifts. With this new love of wrapping beads, I decided to see how it would work with the suncatchers. The result was suncatchers that dangle beautifully and bring rainbows into the house even through the mini blinds. I went crazy and began making suncathchers with all the prisms I had on hand. I am now offering these SUNCATCHERS FOR SALE.

I made some shorter suncatchers for car danglers, to hang on your rear view mirror. When I showed these car danglers to my friend Michelle, at Mystic Earth in Roseburg, Oregon, she exclaimed, "Oh pendulums." While technically any of the suncatchers could be pendulums, the shorter CAR DANGLERS seem to want to be PENDULUMS. For me they each had a very clear "yes" and "no". The sterling silver settings were hand-crafted in Brazil. Unlike the Bali settings, these settings are minimal and allow the back of the stone to touch the wearer, thus adding to the healing benefits. You can see what I mean when you look at the "pendant back" pictures. The silver used is also unlike Bali silver, it is comparable to fine Italian sterling silver, that does not tarnish easily. All the semi-precious stones in the pendants are at least a full 1/4" thick, not just a sliver of the stone in a silver setting.

One thing I learned in trying to take pictures of my pieces for sale, I am not a photographer! I did the best with the resources I had. I tried taking pictures on white, black, indoors and outdoors and what you see are the best that came out. The pictures give only a glimpse of the beauty of these stones.

Ten years ago I became aware of the semi-precious stones coming from South America for the first time. I was fascinated by the quality of the stones. These were not like the watered down version of the stones coming from Asia after hundreds of years of mining. These had sparkle, depth and colors, I had not seen before. At the time the stones were very expensive, and I put them out of my mind.
