The top ametrine stone is 3/8" long, 5/8" wide and
3/8" thick. The stalactite slice (center stone) is 1 1/2" wide and 1"
long. The bottom stone is 1/2" wide, 3/4" long and 3/8" thick. The total length of the pendant is 2 1/4". The earring stones (stalactite slices) are 3/4" wide and 3/4" long. All the settings and the earring posts are sterling silver, the set is hand crafted
in Brazil. I love the play of "twos" in this
set. The idea of the ametrine being a combo of the two stones, amethyst
and citrine. The two ametrine stones, the two centers in the stalactite
slice, and finally the two stalactite slices for earrings. The
faceted cut of the ametrine is a great contrast to the natural look of
the stalactite slice and another two. All of this is before one begins
to study the stones themselves. |
